The challenge
Users of a consumer audio brand’s earbuds found the app could lose track of already-connected earbuds after it was restarted, leaving them stuck on the searching screen.
What we built
- Remembered device pairing
- Explicit reconnection that clears stale operating-system connections before scanning
- Audio settings and personalisation
- Firmware updates and multi-device management
We traced the behaviour down to how iOS and Android keep Bluetooth connections alive across app restarts, and made reconnection reliable on both platforms.
