BLE App Development Company in India

Bluetooth Low Energy apps that pair, reconnect and update firmware reliably on iOS and Android — built by a team that has shipped BLE products.

SerenialTech develops Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) apps for products that talk to a phone: smart locks, wireless earbuds, wearables, sensors, trackers and home devices. We design the GATT profile with your firmware team, build the pairing and reconnection logic, and make firmware updates over Bluetooth safe enough to run on thousands of devices in customers’ homes.

Bluetooth is the part of a connected product that customers notice most when it fails. A device that will not pair, forgets the phone after an update or drains its battery because the app polls too often quickly turns into returns and poor reviews. Our developers have solved these problems on shipped products, including automatic reconnection to remembered earbuds after the app restarts on both iOS and Android.

BLE work sits inside a wider connected-product picture — cloud sync, fleet dashboards, Wi-Fi provisioning and the enclosure itself. If your product needs more than the Bluetooth layer, our IoT app development service covers the complete app and cloud platform.

Who we work with

We work with hardware start-ups defining their first Bluetooth protocol, established device makers whose existing app struggles with connections, firmware teams that need a mobile partner who understands GATT and connection parameters, and companies certifying or redesigning a product who want the app ready on the same schedule. Some projects are the full companion app; others are focused Bluetooth fixes inside an app another team maintains.

Why choose SerenialTech for BLE App Development

We read the radio traffic, not just the logs

When a connection drops, we capture Bluetooth traffic, compare it with firmware logs and check how iOS and Android report each event. Finding the real cause — a connection parameter, a bonding issue, a race in the app — fixes the problem instead of hiding it behind retries.

Firmware and hardware colleagues

Our app developers work with electronics and firmware engineers every day. Questions about MTU size, advertising intervals, antenna placement in the enclosure or power consumption are answered in one conversation, not passed between suppliers.

Tested across real phones

Bluetooth behaviour varies between phone manufacturers and operating-system versions. We test on a range of iOS and Android devices, including older and budget models your customers actually own, and keep a record of the quirks we find.

Planning your BLE App Development project

Write the GATT profile down

Agree services, characteristics, data formats, units, error codes and version numbers in a shared document before implementation. A versioned profile lets app and firmware teams work in parallel and avoids silent mismatches after updates.

Decide on bonding and security

Choose how devices pair, whether they bond, how ownership is transferred and how commands are authenticated. For locks and other sensitive products, encryption and server-checked permissions are essential, not optional.

Budget for power and background limits

Phones restrict what apps can do in the background, and every connection costs battery on both sides. Decide which features must work with the app closed, and design notifications and reconnection around the limits of each platform.

Prepare test hardware early

Give the app team several production-like devices as soon as possible, plus a way to reset, re-flash and read logs from them. Testing on real hardware from the first sprint finds protocol and timing issues long before they reach customers.

Plan for factory and support tools

The same Bluetooth knowledge that powers the app can help production and support teams. Simple tools for factory testing, serial-number registration and remote diagnostics save time on the production line and make customer problems easier to solve.

Version the protocol and the app together

Devices in the field will run different firmware versions for years. Design the app to read the firmware version, support older versions sensibly and prompt users to update, so new app releases never break devices that customers already own.

Respect privacy and permissions

Bluetooth scanning can reveal a user’s location, so iOS and Android ask for specific permissions and explanations. Write clear permission messages, request access only when the feature is used and describe the data you collect in your store privacy labels, to avoid rejected releases and worried customers.

Problems we solve

BLE App Development challenges we fix

01

Pairing that fails first time

Customers give up when setup fails. We design clear, recoverable pairing flows tested on many phones.

02

Devices that will not reconnect

Remembered devices should reconnect automatically. We make reconnection explicit, including after app restarts.

03

Slow or failed firmware updates

OTA over BLE must be fast and resumable. We tune packet sizes and verify every image before switching.

04

Battery drain

Constant scanning and polling empty batteries. We use notifications and sensible connection intervals instead.

05

Different behaviour on iOS and Android

Each platform handles Bluetooth differently. We handle both deliberately rather than with workarounds.

Consumer audio brand

True-wireless earbuds companion app

For a consumer audio brand we built the earbuds companion app. Its key requirement was that paired earbuds reconnect automatically, even after the app is closed and reopened, on both iOS and Android. We traced how each platform reports Bluetooth state, made the reconnection logic explicit and added audio settings and firmware updates on top of that stable foundation.

Engagement models & pricing

How BLE App Development projects are priced

BLE app cost depends on the complexity of the Bluetooth protocol, whether firmware updates are needed, how many device models must be supported and how much testing across phones the product requires. Fixing connection problems in an existing app is usually a contained, fixed-scope project; a new companion app is priced by milestone.

Option 01

Bluetooth layer for your app

We build the BLE module and connection manager for your existing app team.

Option 02

Complete companion app

Pairing, control, data and OTA updates in a new iOS and Android app.

Option 03

Connection rescue

A fixed-price investigation and fix for an app that disconnects or fails to pair.

Questions

BLE App Development FAQs

What is BLE and how is it different from classic Bluetooth?

Bluetooth Low Energy is designed for devices that exchange small amounts of data while using very little power, such as sensors, locks and wearables. Classic Bluetooth is used for continuous streams like audio; many products, including earbuds, use both.

Can you work with our existing firmware?

Yes. We document your current GATT profile, test it against the app and propose changes only where they improve reliability, security or speed.

Can firmware be updated over Bluetooth?

Yes. We implement over-the-air updates over BLE with resumable transfers, image verification and recovery, so an interrupted update does not leave a device unusable.

Can the app keep working in the background?

Within platform limits. iOS and Android both allow some background Bluetooth activity, but with restrictions. We design features around those rules so behaviour is predictable.

Do you build BLE apps in Flutter or native code?

Usually Flutter with mature BLE libraries, adding native Swift or Kotlin code where a product needs low-level control. Both approaches can be combined in one app.
